Little Shop Teaser

April 8

Our production of Little Shop of Horrors opens on May 15. Join us for a very special sneak preview event on the evening of April 8th. We will introduce our incredible cast, perform a few musical numbers, and take an inside look at the origins of Little Shop of Horrors. We are thrilled to have Leilani Jones Wilmore (current Lineage Board member) presenting as well. She originated the role of Chiffon in the very first production and will share stories of that remarkable time with us. As with any Lineage event, there will be bubbly beverages to help celebrate. We are excited about this show and can't wait for you to see what we are cooking up. We also hope you will consider a donation to help underwrite the expense of putting this show together — building an Audrey 2 is fun but she is a little needy!

We close the season with Little Shop of Horrors—a quirky and heartfelt sci-fi musical about a timid florist’s assistant and the plant that changes everything. In true Lineage style, dance will breathe a new life into this classic story.

The Art of Dreaming

March 28-29, 2026

Lineage Performing Arts Center

The Art of Dreaming: a landscape of L.A. voices is a live theatrical production featuring four professional writer-performers, all teaching artists connected to About…Productions’ Young Theaterworks programs, who will write and perform original monologues rooted in their personal, cultural, and L.A.–based experiences. Directed by Marlene Beltran, the production explores dreaming as a poetic and active practice—how individuals imagine identity, belonging, perseverance, and future possibility. The four writer-performers are Catherine Dee Holly, Brandon Rachal, Sayda Trujillo, and Marta Portillo.

Who We Are

We are a nonprofit performing arts center, classified as 501(c) (3), that focuses on giving back to our community, engaging audiences, and enriching adult and youth development.

We prioritize these 3 main pillars in our programming:

Original Productions

We produce 7-8 productions each year, performing for an audience of over 2,000 people. These productions are multidisciplinary works, combining dance, music, and storytelling to illuminate a topic. We also do one book musical each year, but with the Lineage spin of underscoring the story with more movement than the script calls for

Dance for Joy

This is a program unique to Lineage, focused on providing dance, music, and acting classes to people with Parkinson’s, MS, TBI, and stroke. They also appear in many of our Lineage productions. This program is free to all participants and provides creative ways to manage and mitigate the symptoms of neurological conditions. There are 6.5 hours of classes each week, attended by a community of approximately 30 regular participants.

Performing Arts Education

We provide Teaching Artists in Dance to several Title 1 schools in the Pasadena Unified School District, serving over 350 students each year. These are classes that offer dance opportunities in schools that do not have formal programs and each of the programs are growing annually. We also sponsor the John Muir Mystics Dance Team, providing space free of charge and hosting their summer intensive and dance concert annually. We teach classes in our facility to all ages in Musical Theatre, Modern Dance, and Acting, serving over 100 students each year.

Lineage’s mission is to serve as a hub for artistic connection and creative expression, offering diverse opportunities in dance, music, theater, and the performing arts. For over 25 years, we have advanced community accessibility, arts education, and local artist employment while producing impactful performances and hosting visiting artists. Through strategic partnerships with nonprofits, we leverage the arts to raise awareness and support for causes that strengthen and uplift our community.
